Deep conditioning

Last Saturday I took out my braids and deep conditioned my growing natural hair. This reminds me, a length check is due.

Any ways .......

I have been natural for a year now but I had my big chop end of January this year. So far I've been focusing on growing my hair. length isn't  singularly  the most important aspect and goal of my natural hair journey, having healthy hair is imperative too.

So the ingredients I use for my deep conditioning are:
  1. Olive Oil
  2. Shea Butter
  3. Honey
  4. Raw Natural Avocado  (if available)
  5. Conditioner
I mix all the items together and apply on my hair, comb through put on a shower cap and leave for 30 mins.   After which I wash out thoroughly, and apply my home made moisturizer while wet. A friend of mine adds raw eggs to her mixture but I hate the smell so I  leave that out. All the above items are easy to find and use, plus they help strengthen and moisturize the hair. And this mixture can be used on both natural and relaxed hair.

A useful tip when purchasing your conditioner and shampoo is your scalp type is a major factor in deciding what shampoo to use, while your hair type determines your conditioner.
